Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) has announced its sixth property in Australia with PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne set to open in April 2021.

The hotel will be part of the M-City Monash mixed-use development, the largest of its kind, which has been dubbed as a "mini city" and will serve as a new gateway to Melbourne’s South East Growth Corridor.

“M-City is one of the most significant new developments in Victoria. This A$800 (US$619) million development is a vibrant miniature city in itself delivering premium office, residential, retail, entertainment and hotel accommodation. We are excited to partner Pan Pacific Hotels Group and are assured that they will bring the right expertise in hospitality with great synergy with this development," said Peter Schiavello, managing director of Schiavello Group, owner and developer of the project.

Along with 250 rooms and suites, the hotel includes a 375-sqm ballroom accommodating up to 210 pax. Amenities include an outdoor pool, 24-hour fitness centre, as well as a restaurant and bar. In the vicinity, guests will have access to more than 60 retail options, including a cinema, supermarket, F&B, and specialty stores.

Another plus for meeting planners, PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne is conveniently located in the centre of the city's education, medicine, research and science precincts, as well as in close proxy to Monash University’s Clayton Campus, Monash Medical Centre and CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation).

According to PPHG CEO, Choe Peng Sum, Australia has proven a winning market for the group, thanks to eased restrictions on domestic travel.

"Currently, Pan Pacific Hotels Group has five properties in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. We have over 15 years of market knowledge and are committed to deliver operational excellence and commercial success for the hotel. We look forward to bringing PARKROYAL’s signature warm and approachable service to the leisure and business travellers in this landmark destination.”
