The 191-key Oasia Resort Sentosa officially opened its doors on 1 September, with dedicated event spaces and wellness-centric offerings by homegrown Far East Hospitality (FEH).
The former Le Méridien Sentosa is FEH's first foray into the resort and spa category and also its fourth property in Sentosa, following Village Hotel Sentosa for families, The Outpost Hotel for couples, and The Barracks Hotel for heritage fans — offering a total of more than 1,800sqm of meeting spaces, including the shared Revelry Hall which holds up to 280 people theatre style.
Once part of the British artillery barracks, Oasia Resort Sentosa's conserved Events Centre is now open for bookings in its meeting rooms on level one accommodating a cosy 24 (classroom) up to 130 people (theatre). For larger events, The Aloes holds up to 224 theatre style.
Heading outside, events can also be held at the Heritage Courtyard, or Outdoor Pavilion.
Wellness is naturally a central feature in the guestrooms — which span five categories of premier rooms, junior suites, suite room, spa suites, and the duplex suite — with in-room amenities such as Oasia's Signature Tea, Asmara wellness drinks in the minibar, and Oasis Balm for turndown service. In the rooms, single-use plastic bottles are replaced with Nordaq's eco-friendly refillable water filtration system.
Guests can also keep fit in room via an on-demand Wellness Channel, which offers a quarterly refreshed series of guided workouts, meditation and music therapy videos.
Oasia Resort Sentosa also houses Bedrock Origin, sister restaurant to Bedrock Bar & Grill on the mainland, serving signature steaks and seafood, plus healthy breakfast options including superfoods, low GI whole grain oats and sustainably locally-farmed Kühlbarra barramundi.
The Oasia Spa, the integral feature of Oasia Resort Sentosa and FEH's first-ever spa destination, offers full-body massages combining Thai, Japanese and Indian techniques, as well as first of its kind treatments in the region — think cryotherapy facial or PhytonAir therapies to replicate the benefits of 'forest bathing'.
As well, there are plenty of wellness-oriented activities to guarantee a healthy stay for guests. Guests can also pick from complimentary in-resort programmes, from HIIT and core classes to yoga and sunrise qi gong sessions.
Complimentary educational workshops such as managing food waste, farm-to-table concept, or learning about nutrition and food myths are available as well.
