Novotel debuts new 'look and feel'

Accor's midscale brand works towards "visions of modern, premium hospitality".

Novotel properties worldwide will soon boast reorganised spaces, decor and concepts, as Accor's midscale brand works towards "visions of modern, premium hospitality".

“Our goal is to achieve a signature hotel experience, without standardisation, from check-in to check-out – a major evolution for the brand and a leading approach in the midscale segment," said Nadège Keryhuel, vice president, Novotel Brand.

Part of Novotel's new design ethos include ideas for a social hub, feeling of home and the use of sustainable materials.

Four design teams have been appointed to work on Novotel locations around the globe, taking inspiration from recent consumer trends and behaviour shifts.

They include the RF Studio, an easy to renovate, adaptable and sustainable space with the feeling of home; Metro, a minimalist concept using natural tones and raw materials; Sundukovy Sisters, which blends business with leisure using co-living spaces to encourage socialising; and Hypothesis, which has a design focused on reducing physical waste, space and time.

Novotel properties with the new designs will be progressively rolled out around the world in the next few years.

These properties include Novotel Phuket Naiharn and Novotel Johor Bahru City Center in Asia, as well as Novotel St Petersburg Airport, Novotel Vladivostok and Novotel Canela, among others.
