Superior double room at Novotel Rayong Star Convention Centre.
Novotel Rayong Star Convention Centre has opened in Thailand’s
Eastern Seaboard, ushering in spacious 234 bedrooms, nutritious,
sustainably sourced food, and ambitions to lead MICE for Rayong.
One of the hotel's highlights is the spacious Conference & Events
Centre, which consists of nine meeting rooms and two ballrooms,
accommodating up 1,200 guests, with a dynamic layout for corporate and
social events. All of the meeting rooms are on level 1 and 2 with the
option of selecting a natural light function room with high ceiling or a
private room for a more exclusive meeting.
Rayong, a popular weekend getaway destination for Bangkok residents,
is a two-and-a-half-hour drive from the capital city and Suvarnabhumi
International Airport. Rayong is reputed for its seafood, tropical
fruits, night market, and local restaurants. For business travellers
seeking a prime location near the Mapthaput Industry Area, the hotel is
30 minutes’ drive away, while Utapao Airport is located within an hour's
drive.
Novotel Rayong Star Convention Centre also connects travellers to the
industrial zone, markets, restaurants, beaches, and tourist
attractions. The hotel’s special opening rates start from 2,200 baht
(US$63) per night, including a F&B credit of 500 baht per night,
valid till 30 September 2023.
Richard Tin Tun, general manager of Novotel Rayong Star Convention
Centre, said: “With its central location and a wide range of Novotel
signature experiences, we are providing a new space where guests,
locals, and travellers can come together for a meal, a business meeting,
or to relax and re-energise. We aim to become the leading MICE
destination in Rayong."
The venue’s design is inspired by nature, with elements reminiscent
of rocks and waves. There are two dining options for guests. The all-day
dining restaurant Food Exchange, serves seafood from local fishermen,
and Asian cuisine. After 8 Bar & Lounge is an addition to the Rayong
food scene, offering cosy space for a morning meal, an afternoon light
bite or a pre-dinner signature cocktail with live music.
The venue is committed to sustainability by eliminating the use of
single-use plastic items throughout its guest areas. It also prioritises
the local sourcing of products by forging relationships with local
fishermen for a fresh catch.
Visitors can explore historic and tourist attractions, including the
80-year-old Yom Jin Da Road Market, Seang Chan Beach, Floating Pagoda,
Khao Laem Ya-Mu Ko Samet National Park, and fruit farms. These
attractions are located within 20 minutes from the hotel.
Other facilities include a swimming pool and a fitness centre equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.
