Hilton Nagasaki marks the brand's second opening in Japan's Kyushu region, and the 500th property in the Asia-Pacific region.
Nagasaki welcomed its first Hilton property on 1 November, offering 200
keys and direct access to the newly-opened Dejima Messe Nagasaki
convention centre.
Hilton Nagasaki features 478 sqm of event space, supported by an executive lounge, fitness centre, and four F&B outlets.
The new hotel comes as Nagasaki undergoes a "transformation" —
including the opening of Dejima Messe Nagasaki, currently the largest
convention centre in West Japan accommodating 3,000 pax in its hall and
24 meeting rooms; as well as the upcoming launch of the West Kyushu
Shinkansen, said Akiyoshi Matsufuji, president and the representative
director of Gloverhill Inc, the franchise partner for this project.
The hotel's location, directly on the west of Nagasaki Station, will
offer quick access to the city's popular attractions such as Mount
Inasa, as well as UNESCO World Heritage sites such as the Glover Garden
and Oura Cathedral.
Apart from being the second Hilton property in Japan's Kyushu region,
Hilton Nagasaki also marks the 500th opening in Asia Pacific as the
hospitality brand "continues to expand our footprint in key destinations
across the region," said Alan Watts, President, Asia Pacific.
