New meeting spaces at Hilton Kuching

The 30-year-old hotel upgrades meetings space to welcome sustainable, high-tech innovations.

Hilton Kuching has upgraded its meeting spaces to include an all-new Grand Ballroom. The 30-year-old hotel, an iconic riverside landmark, recently unveiled its newly upgraded facilities at an event, “Meetings Redefined: Unveiling a New Era at Hilton Kuching”.

Hilton Kuching's Grand Ballroom combines cutting-edge technology with aesthetics, featuring a large LED motorised screen and ambient lighting. The meeting rooms have been transformed into contemporary spaces, flooded with natural sunlight, and offering river views. Equipped with 85-inch interactive touchscreen TV panels, wireless capabilities, and laptop mirroring, these rooms provide modern amenities for seamless meetings.

Clients can choose between Premium and Standard Meeting Packages, with Premium Packages including personalised setups, exquisite dish presentation, individual plating for guests, and freshly brewed coffee from specialised machines.

The hotel uses glass bottles for meetings and events and snacks that are free of single-use plastics. Recyclable-friendly pens and stationery made from cardboard materials are provided. Meeting rooms are linen-free, eliminating water wastage associated with laundry.

Hilton Kuching's commitment to environmental sustainability was recognised in 2022 when it won the Gold Award for the Recycling Project with Hope Place. The hotel has embraced eco-friendly practices across its operations, from responsible sourcing to technologies that reduce energy consumption.

The hotel's "Meet with Purpose" programme focuses on carbon offset initiatives that contribute to broader environmental goals. Through its “Meet With Purpose” program, Hilton offers customers the ability to offset their event’s carbon emissions and invest in a portfolio of verified, high-quality carbon reduction projects through its partner, ClimeCo.

Culinary offerings

In Hilton Kuching’s endeavour to promote health and well-being with an emphasis on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, its menu features an array of choices. From detox juices to signature dishes such as cucur udang, kolok mee, and roti jala, each culinary creation is a testament to Hilton Kuching’s dedication to sustainability and fostering a conscious dining experience.
