The Banyan Tree Krabi has launched a luxurious new longtail boat, The
White Pearl, to cater for small incentive and meeting groups. The
resort sits on Tubkaek Beach and has 72 suites and villas and 359 sqm of
meeting space for 120 pax. Corporate clients include Berli Jucker Group
(BJC), ICBC Group and APEX Food & Fruits Group.
The White Pearl was built by local craftsmen using materials sourced
from around Krabi Province, catering to day trips and island hopping.
Guests can choose a four-hour, six pax, longtail boat trip costing
10,000 baht (US$290) to nearby Koh Hong. An eight-hour “4 Islands Tour”
costs 22,000 baht among the islets of Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi
National Park.
The latter is an iconic location where the limestone cliffs were featured in the 1970s’ James Bond movie, The Man With the Golden Gun, and more recently in The Beach, starring Leonardo di Caprio.
All day trips on The White Pearl include fresh coconut, fruit and
soft drinks, snorkelling equipment, life vests, toilets, and an
English-speaking Boat Host.
These 4 Islands have eluded the crowds and are inhabited by sea
birds, monkeys and monitor lizards. Koh Hong, which faces Tubkaek Beach,
is famed for its volcanic lagoon in the centre of the island.
