The resort aims to provide a contemporary and tranquil retreat.
A US$400 Million Wellness Campus has been completed with the launch
of the new BDMS Connect Center in Bangkok, a purpose-built MICE facility
which spans over 3,400 sqm. It is LEED-certified, and uses eco-friendly
practices such as electric vehicle chargers, non-toxic building
materials, and energy-efficient fixtures.
The venue’s central location in the heart of Bangkok, proximity to
expressways and the city's shopping district, ensures easy accessibility
for event attendees.
BDMS Wellness Clinic and Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort are also part
of the development. Renovated in 2022, the rooms at Mövenpick BDMS
Wellness Resort offer style and functionality, providing a modern and
tranquil retreat for attendees after MICE events.
Security is prioritised, with the complex set back from main roads,
featuring multiple exits, and controlled by 24-hour security at two
secure entrances.

guided by the philosophy of "Health brings Wealth." This initiative
focuses on holistic well-being, emphasising aspects of Eat, Sleep, Move,
and Mindfulness. The resort integrates wellness into the MICE
experience, allowing attendees to recharge and be ready for the next
session, aligning with the emerging trend of well-being in corporate
events. State-of-the-art gyms, spas, wellness clinics, and
pre/post-event consultations are available.
The resort’s GM, Dan Smith, said: “In 2024, Mövenpick BDMS Wellness
Resort Bangkok’s primary focus is the introduction of the
state-of-the-art BDMS WELLNESS venue, specifically the BDMS Connect
Center…Our goal is to position this venue as a beacon for the future of
meeting and incentive destinations in Bangkok, offering unparalleled
settings for various events, including meetings, conventions, weddings,
and exhibitions, all equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
“Additionally, we aim to establish strong partnerships with industry
associations to promote Bangkok as a leading MICE destination. By
collaborating with partners and associations, we seek to enhance the
city's reputation as a preferred choice for hosting events and
conferences.
“Finally, we plan to lead the market with on-trend wellness
experiences, leveraging the expertise of the worldclass BDMS Wellness
Clinic and its experts.”
One of the challenges facing the MICE industry, said Smith, is the
slow recovery of flight capacities and pricing, particularly from some
destinations which have not returned to pre-COVID levels. To address
this, his team is actively working on providing attractive packages and
incentives to mitigate concerns related to travel.
He added: “Our BDMS Connect Center has been designed not just as a
conventional event space but as a groundbreaking concept inspired by the
layers of a forest ecosystem. This unique approach creates an immersive
experience across different levels of the centre, from the Forest Floor
to the Canopy and Emergents levels. By incorporating elements of nature
into indoor spaces, we aim to offer a truly extraordinary environment
that captivates and inspires visitors.”
