Marriott International has opened a hotel under the Sheraton brand on Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s largest island.

Located on a four-kilometre stretch of beach on the west coast of Phu Quoc, Sheraton Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort is a rebrand of the former Vinpearl Resort & Golf Phu Quoc. The hotel is part of a strategic agreement with Vinpearl, Vietnam’s largest hospitality and leisure chain, to convert and develop 2,200 rooms across six hotels in Vietnam.

Sheraton Phu Quoc features 459 rooms, suites, and villas alongside multiple food and beverage outlets and extensive conference space. Guests can also relax with a choice of three pools overlooking the ocean and a spa and fitness centre.

The Vinpearl Convention Centre is a five-minute ride from the resort, hosting events for up to 3,000 participants, while outdoor space on the property can be used for team-building activities for up to 500 guests. Event concepts range from open-air client gatherings and cocktail receptions to private BBQ dinners.

The resort is also close to a number of popular landmarks, including Vietnam’s largest theme park VinWonders Phu Quoc, Vinpearl Safari, Corona Casino, the Grand World Phu Quoc entertainment complex and an 18-hole golf course.
