Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is undertaking simultaneous, multi-million-dollar renovations of its two iconic flagship properties – Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong and Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok – in a move to elevate guest experiences and reinforce brand legacy across Asia.
In Hong Kong, the US$100 million revamp of the 1963 property includes a complete redesign of public areas, guest rooms, and wellness facilities, with new culinary concepts from Michelin-starred chefs Daniel Boulud and Daniele Cason. Enhancements also include elegant new apartments, a whisky bar, and an expanded wellness club.
Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong’s renovation programme is set to commence in 2Q of 2025 and will be executed over four distinct phases, with final completion tabled for 4Q of 2026. The hotel will remain open throughout most of the renovation period.

Acclaimed chefs Anne-Sophie Pic, Alex Dilling, and Chef Fei are set to debut new dining concepts, while Baan Phraya and The China House also undergo major updates. The hotel’s wellness and fitness offerings are being modernised to match global standards.
Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok is expected to complete its latest makeover by the end of 2025, in time for its 150th anniversary in 2026.
