JW Marriott becomes the first resort in Thailand's Khao Lak to boast a large-scale event venue.
JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa, located an hour’s drive north
of Phuket International Airport, has unveiled its latest makeover that
includes new accommodation, dining outlets and a dedicated MICE space.
The expansion brought 127 additional keys to the beachfront resort:
76 Deluxe Lagoon Pool View Rooms, 28 Deluxe Lagoon Pool Access Rooms, 20
Family Pool Access Studios, two One-Bedroom Villas and the 140sqm
Two-Bedroom Villa.
With the latest addition, the resort now boasts a total of 420 rooms,
suites and villas – including 178 with direct access to a private pool
or the resort’s 2.4km long lagoon pool waterway.
The recent renovation also saw the launch of the JW Grand Ballroom,
which is said to be the area's first large-scale conference venue as it
can host up to 800 guests for corporate conferences and events.
Abhimanyu Singh, General Manager, JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort &
Spa believes the reimagining of the property will reposition Khao Lak as
a unique MICE hub and support the recovery of Thailand’s tourism
industry.
Other fresh additions include an aquatic playground with an outdoor
swimming pool which features water slides, wave pools and a fountain
trampoline.
JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa is home to 11 dining and social
venues, spanning DRIFT Beach Bar & Grill, the JW Garden featuring
its own organic produce, the Italian restaurant Olive, Thai restaurant
Ta-Krai and Japanese eatery Sakura, among others.
Other existing facilities include a fitness centre, racket sports,
water sports, cultural classes and the serene Quan Spa complete the
extensive selection of leisure facilities.
As well, JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa will soon be joined by
sister property, JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort Suites – an exclusive
collection of 52 two-bedroom suites.
