The new 359-room InterContinental Shenzhen WECC has opened its doors
in the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cooperation Zone of Bao'an District.
The new luxury hotel is located 800 m from the Shenzhen International
Convention and Exhibition Center, while Guozhan North Metro Station and
major transportation hubs such as Shenzhen Bao'an International
Airport, Shenzhen Airport North High-Speed Train Station, and Shekou
Cruise Home Port are easily accessible. Nearby are Huizhanwan Garden,
Kingkey Banner Center, and parks.
The lobby boasts a 11-m tall reception hall showcasing modern
artistic elements. The hotel’s 1,200-sqm pillarless Aden Ballroom and
480-sqm Sailing Ballroom hosts up to 1,225 pax and 400 pax respectively.
Aden Grand Ballroom has natural lighting and an outdoor terrace for
events. Total meeting space spans 3,300 sqm including five meeting
rooms.

market, meanwhile, (it will) enhance the development of the hospitality
industry in Shenzhen," said George Qiao, area general manager of Luxury
and Lifestyle South China, general manager of InterContinental Shenzhen
WECC.
Guest rooms and suites range from 50 to 280 sqm. Each room offers
floor-to-ceiling windows and high-tech amenities. The hotel has an
infinity indoor heated swimming pool, a 600-sqm lawn, and a 183-sqm
fitness centre.
The dining experience includes Cai Feng Lou Chinese Restaurant,
combining New Cantonese cuisine with local specialties; an
American-style steakhouse, Char Bar & Grill; and Commune, which
offers a blend of Chinese and Western cuisine with an open kitchen and
bar on the first floor. The Lounge · 1872, named after the founding year
of the China Merchants Steam Navigation Company, provides a stylish and
casual environment for business meetings and social gatherings,
surrounded by an outdoor garden for afternoon tea.
