City of Dreams Mediterranean, Cyprus, makes its foray into the integrated resort world.

Melco Resorts & Entertainment will open City of Dreams Mediterranean, Cyprus, on July 10, 2023. Touting itself as the first integrated resort in Europe, City of Dreams Mediterranean will offer casino, fine dining, extensive entertainment, and the biggest expo centre in Cyprus.

Grant Johnson, general manager of City of Dreams Mediterranean, said: “We are thrilled to finally open the doors of City of Dreams Mediterranean to our valued guests. A landmark project and our first venture in Europe, it will bring Melco’s award-wining standards of entertainment and leisure and welcome innovation to Cyprus’ luxury hotel scene. We look forward to captivating our guests with contemporary design, first-class entertainment, and immersive experiences.”

Melco also announced a special soft opening period for hotel and invited guests from June 12, 2023. The resort is minutes from Limassol’s city centre, and has 500 guest rooms and suites, including the largest Presidential Suite on the island which has more than 400 sqm of living space, including two bedrooms, a fitness room and an open-plan social dining space.

Guest rooms are furnished with a soft palette of colors, and include distinct Mediterranean influences. All rooms feature private balconies with views overlooking the Akrotiri Salt Lake, the Troodos Mountain range and the Lady's Mile Beach.

Its 7,500 sqm casino has a designated Poker area, slot machines, live entertainment, a VIP member’s only Platinum Club. There are eight restaurants and bars with open kitchen designs, interactive cooking demonstrations, and produce farmed in the on-site organic garden.

With 8,000 sqm of indoor and outdoor event space, it has a Grand Ballroom for over 1,000 guests, the multi-functional Forum, meeting rooms, and a Roman-style Amphitheatre.

Besides a designer shopping promenade featuring entertainment by guest DJs and legendary acts from around the globe, the resort has become the first development in Cyprus to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating at its design stage.
