Penang has welcomed a new MICE-focused hotel with the opening of Iconic Marjorie Penang, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel by Marriott International.
Located in Bayan Lepas, Iconic Marjorie Penang is a short drive from Penang International Airport and the Bayan Lepas industrial and business corridor.
Paying homage to Penang’s Baba-Nyonya heritage through its design, the five-star hotel features 298 guestrooms and suites and more than 2,700sqm of event spaces across a grand ballroom and six meeting rooms.
Measuring 1,321sqm, the Marjorie Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 850 delegates in theatre or banquet configurations.
Meeting rooms include Marjorie 1, offers 524sqm of space and can accommodate up to 650 delegates in theatre style, 200 in classroom setup or 380 guests for banquets. Marjorie 2, at 243sqm, supports meetings of up to 200 participants in theatre configuration, 160 for banquets, or 60 in U-shape set-up.
Smaller meeting spaces include Marjorie 3 and Marjorie 4, measuring 160sqm and 149sqm respectively, each capable of hosting up to 130 delegates in theatre style or 45 for conference set-ups. Marjorie 5, at 197sqm, can accommodate up to 180 delegates in theatre layout or 60 conference guests, while Marjorie 6, at 146sqm, supports events of up to 130 delegates in theatre configuration or 45 for conference set-ups.
Beyond event spaces, Iconic Marjorie Penang offers an infinity pool, jacuzzi, 24-hour fitness centre, and the WellNest Spa located on level 13 with treatment rooms and city views.
