The recently opened Hyatt Centric Zhongshan Park Shanghai marks the brand’s first in Shanghai.
Following a year of rapid growth, including new openings in Shanghai, Cairo, and San José, Hyatt Centric is gearing up for even greater expansion. Over the next three years, the brand will introduce more than 35 new hotels worldwide, increasing its portfolio by 50% and surpassing 100 locations by 2029.
Asia Pacific will be at the heart of this growth, with the region’s footprint expected to expand by over 75%. Several new Hyatt Centric hotels will also debut across the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.
“The brand’s recent growth, including openings and planned developments, meets the rising demand from guests and members, especially Millennial and Gen Z travelers, for more contemporary accommodations with playful details, sophisticated furnishings and socially connected spaces,” says Emily Wright, vice president, global brand leader for Hyatt’s Classics & Essentials Portfolios.
Known for blending local culture, art, and attractions into each property, Hyatt Centric has recently opened in new destinations in the region, including Hyatt Centric Zhongshan Park Shanghai, the first in Shanghai, as well as Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur and Hyatt Centric Ocean Front Xiamen.
