Hilton Garden Inn Albany has opened in Western Australia, offering 108-rooms and event space overlooking the Albany Waterfront Marina.

Owned by Foreshore Management and managed by Hilton, the five-storey property marks the first Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Australasia, and is Hilton's fourth hotel in the state.

Planners can book from 160sqm of event space. Three separate meeting rooms, which can also be used as one space, feature floor to ceiling windows overlooking the grassed frontage and on to the vibrant Albany Waterfront Marina.

Guests travelling in larger groups can opt for sofa beds in every king guest room or use the Hilton app to utilise the new Confirmed Connecting Rooms option.

Amenities include a 24-hour fitness centre, self-service laundry, and three F&B options: an all-day restaurant, a bar serving locally-sourced craft beers and wines, and the 24-hour The Shop serving locally-sourced foods, craft beers and other beverages, and a specialty self-serve coffee bar.

Hilton Garden Inn Albany is of walking distance to the city centre, and other attractions including Albany Farmers Market, the Western Australia Museum, and the Albany Entertainment Centre — which also offers venue booking options. Within a 5km drive are Middleton Beach, and the National ANZAC Centre.

Albany’s bus station is close by, while the hotel is about a 20 minutes’ drive from Albany Airport, the largest airport in the Great Southern region.

A next Hilton Garden Inn brand is slated for Busselton, Western Australia in 2023.

Other sister properties include Hilton Parmelia Perth, DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Northbridge and DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront.

“Our Hilton Garden Inn brand is rapidly growing throughout Asia Pacific with almost 50 operating hotels and 110 properties in the pipeline, and we are delighted to add our first in Australasia,” said Jenny Milos, vice president, focused service and all suites brands, Asia Pacific, Hilton.
