The two-year transformation for the Grand Hyatt Singapore which began
in October 2021 will see additional outdoor event venues adding
diversity to the hotel’s current stable of 16 event spaces spanning
three levels.
The hotel’s lead-in rooms will remain as some of the most spacious
rooms in the Orchard Road area. Accommodation bookings will be available
once the re-opening date is confirmed. The hotel is currently accepting
enquiries for events and meetings scheduled from 2024, said Wendy Teo,
assistant director of sales and marketing.
To promote wellbeing, pockets of wellness experiences will be
introduced to foster attendees’ focus, relaxation, and energy. These
include exercise breaks, immersive relaxation, focus sessions, and
moments of mindfulness and creating a comfortable learning environment
that will enhance attendees’ experience and calm anxiety and stress,
according to Teo.
The Terrace Wing: King rooms start from 42 sqm (581 sq ft).Guestrooms
The Terrace Wing aims to provide a quiet retreat to a tranquil oasis,
where a five-story cascading waterfall surrounded by lush greenery, and
wellness facilities await.
Guests will have a suite of upgraded facilities including Damai Spa
& Fitness Centre, natural immersion gardens, a semi-Olympic-sized
pool, and a hydro-massage saltwater pool amongst other integrated
wellness facilities.
All guestrooms will be upgraded with enhanced soundproofing and a day
bed, fitted with dual-sink vanity, a dedicated walk-in wardrobe, and a
multi-purpose desk. King bedrooms start from 42 sqm while Deluxe rooms
start from 54 sqm. Some of the Deluxe rooms will have direct access to
the gardens in the Terrace Wing, or a balcony in the Grand Wing. Suite-level
rooms range from 82 sqm to 100 sqm and come with separate bedrooms,
dedicated entertainment living rooms, and full kitchenettes.
The Grand Wing will feature worldclass dining and entertainment
venues that include award-winning restaurants, bars, and event spaces
suited for grand or intimate events. Design elements inspired by the
vibrant local culture will reflect the hotel’s rich heritage.
New culinary concepts
New culinary concepts will be launched in collaboration with
acclaimed Dutch chef-entrepreneur Sergio Herman with the opening of Le
Pristine Singapore in 2024. The restaurant will build on the success of
its Michelin-starred namesake in Antwerp and serve contemporary European
cuisine.
Perennial favourite, Pete’s Place – one of the oldest Italian
restaurants in Singapore since 1973, StraitsKitchen, and Martini Bar
will also make a refreshed comeback.
Sustainability
Since 2002, Grand Hyatt Singapore has been pioneering sustainable
initiatives will continue to offer sustainable dining and wellness
experiences.
Teo added that key decisions made on the project are thoughtfully
evaluated through the lens of sustainability and innovation. The
refreshed touchpoints aim to enhance guests’ mental, emotional, and
physical well-being.
New features:
· 100% renewable electricity from local retailer, Flo Energy;
· In-house water bottling plant that supplies fresh still and
sparkling water to all guest areas in the hotel, including all 16 event
spaces;
· Laundry water recycling system and a rainwater harvesting plant;
· Enhanced landscaping developments comprising an expanded
edible rooftop farm and a biodiversity preservation featuring a green
wall and trellis with curated plants.
Wellness emphasis
F&B options will offer balanced nutrition, superfoods, and
portion control while using cooking techniques that preserve essential
nutrients. Ingredients will be sourced in collaboration with local
vendors.
