Right in time before Phuket's adamant push for a July reopening, Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort has unveiled its MICE-enhanced property, now boasting two ballrooms, seven meeting rooms and an alfresco event space.

The beachfront resort started welcoming guests last October, and with this second phase, will now sharpen focus on meetings and events.

Business meetings can be booked at the 495sqm Akara Grand Ballroom, holding up to 500 guests at any one time within its airy six-metre-high ceilings. The slightly smaller 180sqm Kathu Junior Ballroom, meanwhile, has capacity for 176 people. Both can be further split into various configurations, and come with an adjoining foyer.

Coffee breaks can include Phuket’s Best Brews, as part of Four Points by Sheraton’s signature local craft beer programme.

For social soirées, intimate gatherings or smaller strategy sessions, there are seven breakout rooms, and for those who wish to head out, they can do so at the grass lawn, garden terrace or by the poolside. The hotel can assist in planning team building sessions, sundown receptions and evening dinners, including themed breakout sessions.

On the food front, catering — which has taken on a creative flair amid the pandemic — will feature Phuket’s Best Brews as part of Four Points’ signature local craft beer programme.

Planners can choose to house their delegates directly within the resort, which offers 600 rooms and suites, five F&B restaurants, three pools and a 24-hour gym. The Phuket International Airport is located 38km away.

In light of the pandemic, the resort follows Marriott International’s “Commitment to Clean” certification programme and and has also achieved the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA) certification.

Planners who book their meeting or conference between now and 31 December 2021, and host it by 31 December 2022, will enjoy a choice of benefits including one complimentary guest for every 10 paid delegates, double Marriott Bonvoy points, or one free room night for every 15 paid nights.

This is on top of another 20% off themed full-day meeting packages and local experiences.
