The 210-room Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou has opened, offering a nine-hectare private island retreat on Jinji Lake, just minutes from the city centre. It has gardens and lake views and open-plan guest rooms, penthouse suites and stand-alone villas. The suites range from 65-181 sqm. One to two-bedroom villas range from 111 to 316 sqm.

Other facilities include a lake-view outdoor infinity pool, a glass-enclosed indoor pool, a spa, wellness and fitness centres, 1,166sqm Grand Ballroom with natural light, and outdoor terraces and gardens for events. There is direct access to the main meeting room area.

Recreational activities include cycling, wall climbing and culinary classes, and lakeside sailing. Calming activities include pastel painting, pottery, and floral art lessons. Across the bridge the concierge team can arrange:
