Amara Singapore gets a facelift and new meeting spaces

The hotel’s revamp features a newly refreshed ballroom and four new breakout meeting rooms.

Amara Singapore, located in Tanjong Pagar district, has unveiled its newly refreshed meeting and event spaces. The hotel first opened in 1986 as one of the first hotels in the area, and boasts a storied history of hosting business travellers and significant MICE events.

On level 3, the column-free Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 500 participants, outfitted with a neutral palette with elements reminiscent of the surrounding Tanjong Pagar neighbourhood, floor-to-ceiling windows that let in plenty of natural light, and a 7.6m-long LED video wall.

Adjacent to the Grand Ballroom are the four Connection breakout rooms measuring between 74sqm and 108 sqm, each equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual amenities, flexible seating arrangements and customisable layouts.

Central to the Grand Ballroom and breakout rooms is a contemporary foyer, whose built-in amenity counters and a modular seating element that can be configured to suit different event. At the heart of this venue sits The Locale, a neighbourhood bar that provides everything from coffee to after-event cocktails.

The space is accentuated by an emerald tiling that draws from the rooftops of the nearby shophouses and features versatile ambient lights and plush modern armchairs and sofas for exhibitions and networking sessions.

Elsewhere in the property, The Parlor on level 17 provides a more intimate setting for business events seeking versatility, seating up to 20 guests within a 63sqm space filled with natural daylight.
