Accor enters partnership with local developer PT Hotel Utama Bekasi to open a hotel within a mall.
Accor is expanding into Bekasi, an emerging business hub in Indonesia’s West Java.
Situated at a key gateway between Jakarta and West Java, the property will benefit from nearby toll roads and public transport hubs providing connections to Jakarta, Bandung and the wider region.
In partnership with PT Hotel Utama Bekasi, Accor is set to launch Mercure Bekasi City Center in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The 172-room hotel will open on the fifth-floor rooftop of Mega Bekasi Hypermall, offering direct access to the mall's shopping, dining and entertainment options.
For meetings and events, Mercure Bekasi City Center will offer ten flexible meeting rooms and a Sky Ballroom accommodating up to 255 guests, catering to corporate conferences, weddings and social gatherings. Its location adjacent to Bekasi Convention Center will also provide a convenient base for guests attending major events.
Dining and leisure facilities will include a restaurant, swimming pool and a fitness centre.
In Indonesia, Accor currently operates over 140 hotels with over 29,000 rooms and has a pipeline of more than 40 properties.
