Marriott International has announced plans to open the Co Loa Marriott Hotel next to the National Exhibition & Convention Center in Hanoi, part of a multi-property agreement covering Hanoi, an emerging ecotourism corridor and Ho Chi Minh City.
At the convention centre doorstep
Currently under construction approximately 13km from the city centre, the hotel is expected to add 494 guestrooms and 3,000sqm of meeting spaces to the capital, in addition to four restaurants and lounges, an outdoor swimming pool, a spa and a fitness centre.
The announcement is part of a landmark multi-property agreement with Vietnam’s Masterise Group expected to add nearly 1,900 keys to Marriott’s pipeline in the country.
Within new coastal project bridging HCMC and airport
The dual-brand property will form part of the 2,870-ha Can Gio Coastal Tourism Urban Area, a planned reclamation project combining eco-tourism, resort, residential, smart city zones that is projected to attract around 9 million visitors annually. The broader Can Gio area, known for its UNESCO-recognised mangrove forest, is set to benefit from infrastructure upgrades including a bridge and expressway connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Long Thanh International Airport.
Together, the JW Marriott and Four Points properties will offer 780 keys, including rooms, suites, family accommodation and apartment-style units, plus 1,800sqm of combined meeting space.
Ritz hotel and branded residences
The Ritz-Carlton, Saigon and The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Saigon is slated to mark the brand’s debut in Ho Chi Minh city’s District One, expected to add a 231-room hotel and a separate tower with 420 branded residences.
