Ukraine's cultural capital city, Lviv, is spearheading another legacy
event in war time. The UNBROKEN Emergency Summit is a call to
international associations and corporations to gather in Lviv online and
in-person, to mobilise international colleagues and organisations who
can contribute to the construction of Lviv’s UNBROKEN Rehabilitation
Centre.
This also includes the construction of the UNBROKEN Kids Department, a
new surgical centre for wounded soldiers and civilians, accommodation
blocks, and other cultural and sporting rehabilitation facilities for
Ukraine’s internally displaced people.
Lviv has become a huge humanitarian hub where people fleeing the war
find refuge and treatment. It has processed over five million internally
displaced people. Every week, wounded patients are transported from
front-line hospitals by evacuation trains and ambulances. Treatment of
war-affected Ukrainians takes place within the framework of the UNBROKEN
National Rehabilitation Center. This is a unique place where adults and
children affected by the war can receive comprehensive qualified
medical care.
As there is an increase in demand for medical and healthcare
equipment, services, and accommodation, a huge effort is being made to
develop the UNBROKEN ecosystem.

colleagues and share its unique experience in treating patients during
the war. It is hoping that its international friends and colleagues can
contribute.
