Northstar Travel Group, the leading B-to-B information and marketing
solutions company serving all segments of the meetings industry
globally, has confirmed its commitment to launch The Meetings Show Asia
Pacific, a major meetings industry exhibition, at Sands Expo &
Convention Centre from 17-18 April 2024.
The signing ceremony took place during a plenary session at
Northstar’s Meetings & Conventions Asia Connections 2023 event on
stage in the Sands Expo & Convention Centre’s Hybrid Event Broadcast
Studio
David Blansfield, executive VP and group publisher, Northstar
Meetings Group, and Ong Wee Min, VP of sales and MICE, Marina Bay Sands,
signed a contract for the 2024 event with intent for further commitment
through 2026. Supported by Singapore Tourism Board, the signing
ceremony was witnessed by over 120 MICE industry professionals, many
from buyer and supplier organisations from outside Singapore.
“Today’s signing ceremony ushers in what we at Northstar believe is a
new, golden age for the MICE industry in Asia and globally,” said
Blansfield. “As face-to-face event experiences grow in importance, we
couldn’t be more excited to support its continued growth not only with
The Meetings Show Asia Pacific but also through our media and marketing
services as delivered by our portfolio of MICE industry brands.”
“We are thrilled to partner Northstar Travel Group in launching The
Meetings Show Asia Pacific at Sands Expo & Convention Centre. This
marks an exciting milestone for the meetings industry in the region,
offering a platform for networking, collaboration, and innovation. Sands
Expo is a world-class venue for business events, and event organisers
and delegates can look forward to curated experiences around Marina Bay,
as part of our Bay Precinct Strategy.” said Ong.
The Meetings Show Asia Pacific is a brand extension of Northstar’s
London-based Meetings Show, which this year was co-located with the
company’s Business Travel Show, Travel Technology Show and TEAMS Europe
Conference (for sports event organisers) at Excel London and attracted
over 7,000 attendees and over 900 exhibiting organisations, its largest
ever.
The Meetings Show Asia Pacific will host like-minded planners, global
suppliers over two days of education and networking opportunities.
Successful international buyers will benefit from free travel,
accommodation and transfers; and exclusive access to an online diary
with pre-scheduled 1:1 meetings with exhibitors.
