Northstar Travel Group has announced the inaugural TEAMS Asia Pacific, which will debut in Singapore on 21–22 April 2027, bringing together event organisers, destinations, venues and suppliers from across the region.
The world’s largest gathering of sports-event organisers, TEAMS (Travel, Events and Management in Sports) has been the leading sports-related travel conference in both the US and Europe.
Its APAC event is expected to replicate this success with an appointment-based programme designed to foster one-to-one relationships and provide thought leadership from industry leaders.
TEAMS Asia Pacific will put potential business opportunities in front of sports-event organisers from the region, and those who are looking to do business in this part of the world.
“The launch of TEAMS Asia Pacific is an exciting development and a natural extension of the TEAMS concept that has proven essential to the industry throughout North America and Europe,” said Jason Gewirtz, SVP/Content, Meetings and Sports, Northstar Meetings Group.
“Sports tourism continues to grow across Asia Pacific, and we’re excited to bring the business connections, education and networking opportunities that only TEAMS can provide.”
TEAMS Asia Pacific will be held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Center in conjunction with several other events by Northstar Travel Group, including The Meetings Show Asia Pacific, the Business Travel Show Asia Pacific and GTM Luxury Asia Pacific.

“The continued expansion of our Asia Pacific portfolio reflects Northstar's long-term commitment to investing in high-growth markets and the audiences driving the future of travel,” said Jason Young, CEO of the Northstar Travel Group.
“By bringing TEAMS to Singapore alongside our existing portfolio of events, we are creating new opportunities for event organisers, destinations and industry partners to connect, do business and drive growth across the region.”
TEAMS Asia Pacific will also be made possible through support from the Singapore Tourism Board.
Ong Huey Hong, assistant chief executive, Industry Development Group, Singapore Tourism Board, said that Northstar Meetings Group's decision to bring TEAMS to the city represents “a strong vote of confidence in Singapore's ability to provide access to the vibrant opportunities in the region as the leading hub for business events”.
The move comes amid growing sports tourism momentum in Singapore, with the latest new-to-destination events including the Elite Pickleball International Championship (EPIC) 2026 and Singapore Tennis Open (WTA500).

Since 2018, TEAMS in North America has shared a relationship with the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee as the exclusive home to the USOPC’s SportsLink education programme. TEAMS Europe launched in 2022 in London and saw its most recent event staged at the Belfry Resort in Birmingham, England.
Besides the inaugural Asian event, upcoming editions of TEAMS '26 will be held in Birmingham, Alabama, 26–29 October 2026; TEAMS Europe ’27 will be staged in Manchester, England, 23–25 March 2027.
