Selected buyers will have the opportunity to participate in pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings with Asian travel suppliers, as shown here during M&C Asia Connections 2019.
After two years of virtual editions, M&C Asia Connections 2022,
Northstar Travel Group's signature MICE event, is returning to an
in-person format in Singapore with a strong showing expected from travel
suppliers across the region.
Taking
place from 23-27 August 2022, the week-long business exchange will
connect buyers and sellers at an in-person networking event from 23-24
August at Marina Bay Sands and conclude with a post-event fam trip on
25-27 August.
This invitation-only event leverages Northstar Travel Group’s global
MICE database as well as the industry's most reputable brands to bring
together pre-qualified international planners from corporations,
associations, incentive houses and independent planning companies based
in North America, Europe and Asia.
Selected buyers will have the opportunity to participate in
pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings with Asian travel suppliers at MCAC,
as well as experiential networking activities, educational sessions,
product presentations, and a post-event fam.
“We are pleased to present MCAC at a time when MICE planners are
intensifying their efforts to resume meetings and incentive travel
programmes,” said David Blansfield, executive vice president and group
publisher, Northstar Travel Group. “Since its inception, MCAC has served
as the gathering place for the Asian meetings community to network,
connect and ink deals. The return of MCAC as an in-person event is
testament to the recovery of the business events sector in Asia
Pacific.”
This year’s event features a strong showing from the region’s
convention & visitor bureaus, hotels and event venues. These include
Seoul Tourism Organization, Japan National Tourism Organization,
Singapore Tourism Board, Philippines Tourism Promotions Board, Melia
Bali, Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group,
Pan Pacific Hotels Group and Royal Caribbean International, among
others.
Irene Chua, vice president for Asia, Northstar Travel Group, said:
“Already, MCAC 2022 has garnered confirmed bookings from a high number
of repeat suppliers, signalling the effectiveness of the event in
attracting quality buyers to generate positive business value outcomes.
For buyers and sellers alike, being in the same space allows for
important conversations and meaningful connections face to face, and to
discover and learn new things that will shape the industry development
looking ahead.”
Chua added: “Northstar Travel Group is also pleased to welcome Marina
Bay Sands as our valued hotel and venue partner in hosting MCAC. As an
award-winning venue that is recognised for its hospitality standards and
expertise in hosting world-class exhibitions and conferences, Marina
Bay Sands will set the bar for a memorable experience at MCAC.”
Ong Wee Min, vice president of sales and MICE, Marina Bay Sands,
said: “We are excited to partner Northstar Travel Group to host M&C
Asia Connections. This is really an exciting time for the industry as we
see a return of large-scale face-to-face events. As a premier event,
MCAC provides a timely platform that facilitates business conversations
with productive outcomes. Together with Northstar Travel Group, we look
forward to welcoming these international delegates to Singapore and to
experience Marina Bay Sands’ renewed hospitality.”
Presented and organised by Northstar Travel Group, MCAC facilitates
highly qualified business opportunities for buyers and Asia’s travel
suppliers in an invitation-only personalised setting that facilitates
business matching.
