UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, is holding its MEA Conference in Qatar for the first time.

The event, which will be hosted by Visit Qatar, will take place in Doha from 9-11 May at one of the capital’s five-star hotels. The destination, which recently hosted the Fifa World Cup football tournament, will welcome senior representatives from government entities, convention bureaus, tourism boards, venues and event organisers, alongside economists, media and industry experts.

The conference will feature keynotes, one-on-one interviews, panel discussions, technology presentations and networking sessions.

Philip Dickinson, VP international markets and MICE at Visit Qatar said: “We look forward to hosting the UFI’s 2023 MEA Regional Conference for the first time in Doha. Qatar has emerged as a leading international business hub and a destination with an active, year-round calendar of world-class events that leverage its state-of-the-art facilities.”
