Hamburg Messe und Congress (HMC) and DN Media Group AS (RECHARGE) have signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding with Enterprise Singapore and the Singapore Tourism Board to stage a series of wind-energy conferences and exhibitions in Singapore from 2026 to 2029.
Marking WindEnergy Hamburg’s first major expansion beyond Germany, the MOU was signed during the RECHARGE Wind Power Summit 2025 in Hamburg, witnessed by the First Mayor of Hamburg, Peter Tschentscher, and Singapore’s Ambassador to Germany, Lee Chong Hock.

APAC wind energy landscape hits turning point
Organisers expect the series to “establish platforms for stakeholders to convene and create opportunities to accelerate the rollout of offshore and onshore wind in APAC and beyond”.
The expansion of the meetings series into Asia-Pacific comes as the region approaches an inflection point for wind power. Countries with significant wind resources – including Australia, India, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea and Vietnam – have unveiled targets, feasibility studies and auction rounds. The region already led the world with 607.5 GW of installed wind capacity in 2024, and is expected to add around 50 GW of offshore capacity by 2034 – representing over 60% of new global offshore additions.
What to expect
The Singapore series will comprise conferences and trade-floor activity, plenary sessions, roundtables, networking, and site visits to Singapore’s offshore wind supply-chain companies.
The programming is intended to facilitate business development, policy dialogue and knowledge exchange among industry leaders, policymakers, financiers, innovators and regional supply chain players.
WindEnergy Hamburg is said to attract around 1,600 exhibitors and 43,000 participants from 100 countries.
