Sibos will be hosted in growing economies every four years to reinforce global financial inclusivity.
Sibos, the annual financial conference, will take place in Paris, Dubai and growing economies across Asia and Latin America.
The event, produced by Swift, the global member-owned cooperative and provider of secure financial messaging services, will take place in Paris for the first time in 2028, the year that marks five decades since the inception of the conference.
Dubai will follow with hosting duties in 2029, with Swift saying that the Middle East is a key strategic region in global finance, particularly with the presence of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), home to almost 7,000 businesses as well as the majority of the Gulf Co-operation Council’s fintech industry.
Swift has also announced that following the event in Dubai, it will hold Sibos every fourth year in growing economies across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, to better reflect the diversity and inclusivity of its global infrastructure.
The global event has traditionally rotated among established financial centres in three regions: Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, with Sibos taking place in Frankfurt this year, before heading to Miami in 2026 and Singapore in 2027.
