The inaugural NRF 2024: Retail's Big Show APAC
will debut in Singapore from 11-13 June 2024 at Sands Expo and
Convention Centre, an indication of the immense potential of the retail
industry in the region.
This APAC edition, backed by Singapore Tourism Board (STB), mirrors
the success of its New York counterpart. Organised by Comexposium and
the National Retail Federation (NRF), the event will cover 15,000 sqm,
host 300+ exhibitors, and welcome over 5,000 retail leaders under the
theme of "Fast Track Your Success".
Regional potential
“APAC is the world’s largest retail market and yet the most
underserved. This dynamic and diverse marketplace is at the cusp of a
transformative era where traditional retail paradigms are no longer
adequate to meet fast-evolving consumer demands,” said Ryf Quail, MD,
NRF 2024.
“The digital age beckons for a new retail concept, one that
harmonises the digital with the physical, personalises customer
experiences and leverages data and technology to create seamless,
omnichannel journeys,” added Quail.
Global retail and consumer brands, and their C-suite executives,
including AEON Group, Amazon, Coca-Cola, Central Retail Corporation
(Thailand), Fast Retailing (UNIQLO), Hermes, Mastercard, Puma, and Lotte
Corporation; and homegrown Singapore brands including CapitaLand and
FairPrice Group, will participate as speakers and exhibitors.
Show highlights
One unique element of the exhibition is its Expo Tour, which will
offer retailers topic-specific tours to meet with leading companies
delivering innovative retail solutions. Each curated, two-hour tour is a
walking journey through the NRF APAC 2024 Expo.
One of them, Connecting The Customer Journey, offers a tour that
focuses on achieving operational excellence in the pillars of retail:
hiring, employee training, optimising store operations, seamless
checkout, task management and customer loyalty. Best practices and
studies in connecting the customer journey will be explored on this
tour.
Retailers will have access to 24 Exhibitor Big Ideas sessions
featuring demos and case studies by solution providers and their retail
clients. Other event features include the NRF APAC Innovation Lab, where
groundbreaking AI, augmented reality, machine learning, facial
recognition, robotics will be showcased; and the Startup Zone, where the
newest companies are bringing game-changing technology and radical
thinking to retail.
Conference themes will cover 11 themes such as future-proofing
through tough economic times; sustainability and ethical practices;
payment flexibility; retail crimes and thefts; AI & machine
learning; and personalisation.
