Taking place from 4-6 August at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) 2025 will gather more than 450 delegates from the business events industry.
The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) will host the 10th edition of its flagship event, Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) 2025, under the theme of ‘Spicing up Business Events’.
Inspired by Malaysia’s iconic spice heritage, the theme symbolises the diverse and dynamic pillars of the MBEW experience. MyCEB says spices such as cinnamon represent strategic planning, star anise is seamless execution, cloves represent vibrant networking while cardamom signifies forward-thinking innovation.
Taking place from 4-6 August at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur, MBEW will gather more than 450 delegates from the business events industry. The event launches with BE Xchange on 4 August, an exclusive business matching segment that features around 40 organisations as exhibitors and 40 hosted buyers, fostering high-value meetings and cross-border partnerships.
The following two days of the event will be dedicated to education and industry knowledge, with keynote speeches, expert panels and breakout sessions designed to inspire, inform, and ignite collaboration. Topics will explore global trends, industry resilience, leadership strategies and digital transformation in business events.
In keeping with the spice theme, this year’s edition will also feature the Spice Market Networking Session, an immersive cultural experience that transports guests to the golden age of the 15th century Melaka Sultanate, mirroring a setting where spices, stories and connections were exchanged with purpose and passion. The networking evening will recreate the energy of Malaysia’s ancient spice trade, celebrating its multicultural legacy and hospitality.
Delegates will receive MyCurrency tokens to engage in playful bartering with ‘international traders from a bygone era’, exchanging goods and narratives that reflect the richness of Malaysia’s multicultural roots.
Hosted buyers will also have the opportunity to visit key venues and facilities, offering firsthand insight into Malaysia’s business events infrastructure. A special hands-only CPR course will also be available in partnership with the National Heart Association of Malaysia, in collaboration with IMU University and IMU Healthcare, as part of an ice-breaking session promoting wellness.
Delegates will also be encouraged to participate in a series of wellness-focused activities, including basic health screenings, dental check-ups, and spine assessments at the IMU booth, highlighting the importance of wellness as an integral part of the MBEW experience.
To further enhance the sensory experience, a shoulder therapy session led by visually impaired masseuses will be offered on the show floor during coffee breaks, providing delegates with a unique moment of relaxation and mindfulness.
