The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Milken Institute have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to anchor the Milken Institute Asia Summit in Singapore from 2026 to 2028, reaffirming the city-state’s position as a premier global hub for business events.

The new agreement deepens the longstanding partnership between STB and the global non-profit think tank, which first launched the Asia Summit in Singapore in 2014. The event is known for convening high-level leaders – including policymakers, CEOs, investors, and philanthropists – to debate and address regional and global challenges.

“As a strategic Global-Asia node for business and innovation, Singapore serves as an important gateway for organisations worldwide to access the dynamic and rapidly evolving Asia-Pacific region,” said Melissa Ow, chief executive of the Singapore Tourism Board. “[Milken’s] decision to anchor their prestigious Asia Summit here for the next three years further cements Singapore's position as a premier destination for meaningful dialogue and collaboration.”

The announcement comes ahead of the 2025 edition of the Milken Institute Asia Summit, set to take place from 1–3 October during Singapore’s Formula 1 race week. The strategic timing reinforces Singapore’s appeal as a city where business events and global entertainment converge.

The Milken Institute’s Asia headquarters, based in Singapore since 2014, organises the annual summit, which has grown into a key platform for cross-sector dialogue and solution-focused conversations.

Recent editions have featured high-profile speakers including Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong, and Minister for Health Ong Ye Kung. In 2023, STB also hosted the Speakers and Sponsors Welcome Reception at the Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles to spotlight Singapore’s strengths as a global event destination.
