Melbourne’s MICE industry gets big economic boost from AIME 2022

The three-day event yielded AU$120 million in business value, a 20% increase over 2020’s figure.

Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) 20222 stimulated AU$120 million in business during the three days of in-person engagement from 21 to 23 March at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

 

Based on recently released industry research, this figure reflects a 20 percent increase from 2020’s performance.

 

Ninety-five percent of exhibitors cited AIME 2022 as an important event for their business, with over 94 percent stating they were impressed with their return on investment. Furthermore, 95 percent of delegates agreed AIME is the place to make important business connections, namely due to its great atmosphere (83%) and strong reputation (81%).

AIME 2022 welcomed over 1,660 visitor buyers and suppliers and saw the participation of over 230 exhibitors, and 320 hosted buyers.

 

The 2023 edition will be held at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from 13 to 15 February, with 98 percent of 2022 exhibitors expressing interest.
