Personal care ingredients and beauty exhibition In-Cosmetics Korea is putting the emphasis on interactive, international and innovation for this year’s show.

The exhibition, taking place at Coex in Seoul, South Korea from 12-14 July, is expected to attract around 9,000 attendees from South Korea and beyond, and will feature more than 200 personal care ingredient suppliers, including ProCell Therapeutics, Nanjing Cosmos and Samkwang Chem Corp. Participants include R&D professionals, chemists, researchers, scientists and marketing experts.

An all-new country focus on Japan will invite attendees to explore the growing J-beauty market, meeting Japanese suppliers face-to-face and exploring their ingredients, formulations and trends. Alongside live ingredient demonstrations in the dedicated Japanese Pavilion, there will also be a keynote session from Shiseido Japan, and ‘technical’ seminars with contributions from Nikko Group, Ajinomoto Health Supply, Seiwa Kasei and TriBeaute, among others.

Another new feature for 2023 is the Natural Extract Zone, which focuses on clean beauty and sustainability, with input from natural extract and essential oil suppliers from South Korea and other markets. It will demonstrate how natural ingredients play a key role in these trends, as brands and consumers look to replace synthetic ingredients with natural variants.

The Innovation Zone aims to offer inspiration to R&D professionals while there will also be sessions outlining the latest marketing trends and regulations, with input from industry experts. The K-Beauty Inspiration Zone meanwhile will be split into two dedicated zones, the Product Showcase and the Open Theatre.

Sarah Gibson, exhibition director at in-cosmetics Korea, said, “In-Cosmetics Korea has an advantageous position to highlight the cutting-edge innovations happening behind the scenes. We look forward to introducing this year’s show which is anticipated to be our biggest year – 34% up on 2022 and growing.”
