Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has announced the launch of CreatorWeek Macao, an event highlighting Macao's creative economy and status as a hub for cultural exchange between East and West.
Taking place from 24-28 October, the event, co-organised by MGTO and Branded, brings together leading Chinese and Western social media platforms, top global content creators and celebrity guests in a celebration of creativity and culture.
The event is expected to attract 250 international guests, including 180 key opinion leaders/creators, and 50 speakers. It will cover six key zones, facilitating open and inspiring exchanges, including content creation, business dialogue, artistic performances and community interaction.
Guests include the founding member of Black Eyed Peas, apl.de.ap, YouTube shorts creator, Alan Chikin Chow, French beatbox crew, Berywam, fitness influencer, Chloe Ting, YouTube content creator, Nova's World, and dancer and YouTuber, Nicole Laeno, among others.
With Macao the only place in the world where major platforms such as Douyin, RedNote, and WeChat are freely accessible alongside TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, senior representatives from these platforms will also gather at the event to share insights and explore collaboration.
The zones include a dedicated business conference zone that brings together top global creators, digital entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to explore the emerging East-meets-West trends in content creation and share expert insights.
A Creator Fan Wellness zone will feature four events where creators and instructors lead yoga, meditation, and fitness sessions, while a fan meet-and-greet zone will offer face-to-face experiences with favorite creators.
The Creator Artist Showcase zone will have a lineup of international and local musicians, while the Creator Academy zone will host leading creators and industry voices sharing creative insights.
The event will be supported by Macao's six integrated resort enterprises, MGM, Galaxy Macau Integrated Resort, Sands China. Wynn Resorts Macau, SJM Resorts and Melco Resorts & Entertainment.
