IDEM, the leading biennially held three-day B2B trade fair and
convention in the Asia Pacific for the dental industry, returns to
Singapore from 7-9 October, with the 2022 event being held at Marina Bay
Sands.
Running since 2000, the 12th IDEM in 2022 will be the first time the
event has been held in person since the start of the global pandemic.
The conference brings in world-class speakers in general dentistry,
with the exhibition laying claim to being the largest dental B2B trade
fair in the Asia-Pacific.
Organised by Koelnmesse and the Singapore Dental Association, IDEM
2022 will feature more than 30 scientific conference sessions, including
hands-on workshops, a full day masterclass, and exhibits complemented
with hybrid elements to ensure a holistic experience for all
participants.
Managing director of Koelnmesse, Mathias Kuepper, said while
continuing education has been ongoing digitally throughout the pandemic
the in-person experience cannot be replaced.
“A physical event will ensure that participants will once again get
to connect face-to-face with speakers, exhibitors, and peers to learn
about the latest developments in dentistry,” he said.
And, it appears that with news the event is being held in-person in
2022, there is already strong interest from exhibitors and attendees.
Scientific Chair of IDEM 2022, Professor Patrick Tseng, is
anticipating the full utilisation of the 14,000sqm exhibition space with
close to 500 exhibitors from more than 30 countries. This will include
40 new international exhibitors participating for the first time.
A representative from exhibiting company GC Asia said the return of
IDEM in-person “provides us with an excellent opportunity to gather and
reconnect with dental professionals and friends in the Asia Pacific.”
New to IDEM 2022 will be an Innovation Arena - an initiative that
aims to nurture young companies to grow with IDEM and assist those in
the non-dental sectors to expand their network. The Innovation Arena
will feature insightful presentations showcasing the latest innovations
and products targeted for the dental market.
