Since the comeback of Malaysia Business Events Week in August,
conferences and exhibitions have been growing in scale and size in the
country.
Returning
to Malaysian shores this year is OGA x MOGSEC 2022, a combination of
the biennial 6th Malaysia Oil & Gas Services Exhibition and
Conference (MOGSEC) and the biennial 18th Oil and Gas Asia (OGA).
The merged tradeshow took place from 13 – 15 September 2022 at Kuala
Lumpur Convention Centre, welcoming over 500 participating companies
from over 25 countries, eight international country pavilions and 20,000
trade and professional attendees.
Alongside OGA x MOGSEC 2022, there was also Petrochemicals
Sustainability Conference 2022 by the Malaysian Petrochemicals
Association which brought together petrochemical producers, consumers,
and stakeholders to discuss the pathways by which Malaysian and regional
petrochemicals companies come together to support global net-zero
solutions.
Elsewhere in the country, Penang will be hosting its biggest event of
the year when the V-Convention Malaysia by V Global returns to
destination from 7-11 October 2022.
The five-day event will see a series of motivational speeches,
product, and services training, a trade exhibition as well as a
corporate conference happening simultaneously at Setia SPICE Convention
Centre. Some 13,000 delegates from 50 countries are expected to attend
the event, with a projected economic impact of RM157 million (US$34.6
million).
This mega convention, which has been taking place in Penang since
2008, will be a strong vote of confidence for Penang as an incentive and
tourism destination in Asia, said the organisers.
