To meet the region's rising demand for sustainable protein sources
and offer a B2B platform for manufacturers, startups, investors and
thought leaders, Alternative Proteins Asia will be showcased for the
first time in a new 1,300 sqm feature area at FHA-Food & Beverage
Asia, which is taking place 5 to 8 September at the Singapore EXPO and
MAX Atria.
Over 2,000 exhibitors and 35,000 industry professionals are expected
at the four-day B2B tradeshow for Asia's food & beverage industry.
As part of its launch, Alternative Proteins Asia will also feature a
four-day conference with over 30 experts and thought leaders in the
plant and fermentation-based proteins space, as well as the inaugural
Big Idea Food Competition (BIFC) organised by Big Idea Ventures. BIFC
aims to inspire new entrepreneurs and food startups to create
innovations in sustainable food supply and food security via a cooking
competition in competing for a US$200,000 investment prize.
Alternative Proteins Asia will be included in a sneak peek during
four sessions at FHA Match, held virtually on 5 July as a prelude to the
tradeshow in September, offering industry professionals a complimentary
chance to forge connections ahead of the physical event, arrange online
and offline meetings, and access content sessions from industry
experts.
“The new Alternative Proteins Asia launching at FHA-Food &
Beverage will help plug the gap in the huge growth in demand for greater
investment and innovation in the alternative protein sector, and
represents a step taken by industry, for industry, towards ensuring a
healthy and sustainable system and environment in future,” said Janice
Lee, event director, hospitality, food & beverage - Hong Kong &
Singapore, Informa Markets.
