Singapore is gearing up to host its A-list mega event, Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF), which returns for its eighth edition from 15-17 November 2023 at Singapore EXPO.

Many fintech firms have set up shop in Singapore with the country’s strong regulatory framework, giving SFF the perfect platform to thrive in the business events calendar and in the global FinTech industry.

Last year’s return to an in-person event was the largest since the festival’s launch, drawing more than 62,000 participants from over 115 countries, underscoring SFF’s leadership as a convenor for international regulators, policymakers, technologists, and industry leaders who can impact large scale change.

Said Paul Lee, chief executive (Markets), Constellar, organiser of SFF: “Since its inception in 2016, SFF has played a pivotal role in shaping the world’s FinTech ecosystem, evolving over the years as a key platform for the FinTech community to catalyse start-ups, build new talent, address global challenges and capitalise opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.

“It has enjoyed year-on-year growth, not only keeping pace with shifting trends in FinTech such as inclusivity, sustainability, Web3, green financing and AI, but also building an important focal point for industry leaders to convene and chart the path towards digitalised financial services of the future.”

Lee said last year’s event endorsed the irreplaceable value of face-to-face interactions and in-person MICE events.

New features for SFF 2023

· This year, the event will explore the human and economic impact of AI in the financial services sector.

· The festival will also study the potential of emerging technologies from AI to Web3 to enhance the resilience of digital economies.

· It will offer financial empowerment to under-served communities, and drive sustainable low-carbon transitions.

· Five new thematic zones will be launched: Technology, ESG, Founders, Regulation and Talent. Each zone has been designed to accelerate partnerships that create value for industry stakeholders, with exclusive networking lounges and personalised meeting opportunities with top-level investors, industry leaders, mentors, regulators and central bankers.

· After hours at Club Street will expand to 14 bars and restaurants offering attendees additional opportunities to connect and unwind.

Sustainability initiatives

Powered by renewable energy at Singapore EXPO, home to Singapore’s largest single-site solar rooftop installation, attendees will be able to offset their carbon footprint by contributing carbon credits to key clean water and wind energy projects in Cambodia and Karnataka in India respectively.

We’re also working closely with our F&B partners to reduce emissions by prioritising local produce, minimise food waste by preparing food-to-order, as well as to support communities in need by delivering food surplus to beneficiaries such as Food Bank, Free Food From All, and Food from the Heart.
