Taking place online and at Singapore's Marina Bay Sands, the inaugural IBTM Wired goes live today with a spotlight on the APAC region.
The event, which runs from 28 June to 1 July, is kicking off in collaboration with SACEOS (Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers).
On day one of the event, IBTM Wired will give participants access to the SMF (Singapore MICE Forum) x IBTM Wired conference, which is happening both in-person and online.
Among the day's highlights is a session titled Innovation for the Future of Business Events – Through Covid-19 and Beyond.
Another session, moderated by M&C Asia editor, Lauren Arena, will touch on the rise of tech entrepreneurs in a brave new world of MICE. Arena will speak with Melissa Lou and Jaqueline Ye, the young founders behind event technology company Delegate.
Designed to help meetings and events professionals thrive post-pandemic, each day of IBTM Wired will spotlight a different region of the world.
In total, over 30 topical education sessions and four keynote speakers will be available live and on-demand to hosted buyers and visitors.
IBTM Wired has been granted preferred provider status from the Events Industry Council (EIC) for its Knowledge Programme, allowing delegates to gain Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) points for each education session attended.
Meanwhile, 3,000 one-to-one business meetings scheduled for the four-day event.
Confirmed exhibitors include the Department of Culture & Tourism – Abu Dhabi, CVENT, Resorts World Sentosa, Cyprus Convention Bureau, Visit Ras Al-Khaimah, Cannes Convention Bureau, Warsaw Convention Bureau, Marriott International, and BC Hospitality Group.
The organisers also expect a strong showing from corporate buyers counting BBVA France, Gemini Management NV and Provident Global Capital Group.
