IBTM Wired will feature daily sessions that span Singapore, North and South America, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
Reed Travel Exhibitions has added a permanent event to its global IBTM portfolio — IBTM Wired, happening from 28 June – 1 July 2021.
The four-day virtual event will host one-to-one business meetings, networking sessions, and a programme of live and on-demand education sessions curated by sector, skillset, and geographic location. A unique ‘walk up’ video meetings function can be used to request meetings with suppliers, venues and destinations from around the globe.
To engage a global audience, the event platform, built by Sector Global, will be open 24-hours a day, also solving the time zone issue faced in the early stages of going virtual when Covid-19 first broke out.
IBTM TV, which launched at IBTM World Virtual 2020, will also return for IBTM Wired — delivering a programme of 60 live and on-demand educational sessions by international industry associations and thought leaders.
On the back of 2020's successful event — which closed with some 8,300 attendees engaging in about 13,000 business meetings over three days — this year's IBTM Wired even has a IBTM Global World Tour playlist on the 'showfloor'. Attendees can expect to receive key insights and information on each region’s recovery.
Topics include hybrid events, sustainability, women in leadership, intelligent technology, to safety and trends. Daily sessions are as follows:
28 June: Asia Pacific IBTM in partnership with SACEOS (Singapore Association for Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers) will host SMF X IBTM Wired, which will see this year’s hybrid Singapore MICE Forum (SMF) integrated into the IBTM Wired programme. Topics include community engagement, design thinking and innovation.
29 June: Over to North and South America where the programme will touch on delivering quality experiences and premium service.
30 June: The Middle East and Africa today, with education sessions focusing on networking, data and analysis, and energy.
1 July: On to Europe where sessions explore power and success within learning and development.
“While there’s huge demand for face-to-face events and we look forward to their return, it’s clear there is a long-term place for high-quality online meetings,” said event manager Michael Jones.
After postponing the inaugural IBTM Asia Pacific due to Covid-19, Jones had hoped to launch the show in Singapore in June this year, but this has now been pushed to 5-6 April 2022.
Registration for IBTM Wired is now open, with a 20% early bird discount (US$159) for a limited time. Registration fee for hosted buyers is US$5, and US$199 for visitors. For details, click here.
