Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has unveiled a new campaign at IMEX Frankfurt 2023, as the country welcomes the return of large-scale international MICE events.

Bangkok will be a host city for a line-up of global meetings. Come 12-15 November, the Thai capital will be the host city of the 62nd ICCA Annual Congress, which is expected to attract more than 1,000 delegates from over 100 countries.

This will be followed in 2024 by the Global Spine Congress, and Money20/20 Asia fintech show; and in 2026 by the Annual Meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, all of which will be taking place in Bangkok.

Thailand’s MICE sector is well on its recovery path, with 46,425 MICE travellers expected in the first two quarters of 2023, surpassing the 27,080 MICE travellers recorded in 2022, according to TCEB President Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, speaking during a press conference at IMEX Frankfurt 2023. He expects the number of MICE travellers to Thailand to reach 760,000 in 2023.

The new ‘Thailand MICE to Meet You Year 2023’ campaign, which follows the ‘Thailand MICE – Meet the Magic’ campaign launched at IMEX Frankfurt last year, will spotlight new products, tech solutions and support schemes to aid event planners.
