The Philippines hosted the Kiwanis International Convention for the first time from 24 June to 27 June, welcoming more than 1,200 delegates from 31 countries to Manila.

Held at the Marriott Hotel Manila, the 2026 convention marked the event's return to the Asia Pacific region after more than a decade.

The event saw Kiwanis International – a global charity that advances volunteerism and community development – gathering its global leaders for governance meetings, leadership sessions and networking activities.

Supported by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, the programme included regional recognition ceremonies, membership development activities, cultural showcases and the Kiwanis International Gala.

Delegates also attended keynote sessions, including a presentation by mountaineer and executive coach Lei Wang, the first Asian woman to complete the Explorer's Grand Slam, who shared leadership insights drawn from her experiences.

The convention also featured discussions on the Kiwanis Children's Fund and The Kiwanis Possibility Project, which support community initiatives and children's programmes worldwide, as well as the organisation's Service Leadership Programs aimed at developing youth leadership through community service.

The event adds to the Philippines' portfolio of international association meetings and highlights Manila's capacity to host large-scale conventions attracting delegates from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
