The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) will be
hosting the 9th Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW 2024), which will
take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 19-23 August.
Under the theme of “B.E.A.T.S – Business Events and Technology with
Sustainability”, MBEW 2024 will gather 300 distinguished delegates from
various business events sectors.
MBEW 2024 aims to foster innovation and collaboration among industry
stakeholders, explore best practices, adopt advanced technologies, and
engage in initiatives that drive environmental and social
sustainability.
The event will be attended by Malaysia’s minister of tourism, arts
and culture YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, and will bring various industry
experts and partners together to share insights and innovations.
MyCEB CEO Azman Haji Tambi Chik said: “MBEW 2024 will continue to
support the progress and development of Malaysia's business events
sector by showcasing the economic benefits and opportunities of the
business events industry. It aims to attract investment and support from
government bodies and the wider business community, providing a
platform for dialogue, idea exchange, and business-to-business
opportunities among the stakeholders.”
Other highlights from MBEW 2024 will include the launch of the
Malaysia Business Events Standard and the appointment of new Kesatria
members. In line with MyCEB’s commitment to corporate social
responsibility, a local visually impaired association will provide
15-minute massages for delegates during the event, promoting wellness
and supporting the visually impaired community.
MBEW 2024 will also feature EVENTEXPO 2024
in collaboration with Malaysian Association of Convention and
Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers. Under the theme “Everything,
Everywhere, Events!”, EVENTEXPO 2024 aims to be a one-stop marketplace
showcasing the latest business events products, services, technology,
trends, and insights to support industry growth.
