The Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and
Suppliers (MACEOS) has announced the launch of EVENTXPO 2024, which
will be part of this year’s Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) – the
annual show produced by the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau
(MCEB) – and held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from
19-21 August.
With the theme of “Everything, Everywhere, Events!”, the trade show
aims to be a one-stop marketplace of the latest business events
products, services, technology, trends and insights that will sharpen
industry growth.
Aside from the show floor, EVENTXPO 2024 will feature interactive
workshops, pocket talks by industry experts, and a careers fair for
students and professionals to explore job opportunities within the
industry. The show will also host the MACEOS Youth Challenge, its
signature annual event encouraging youths to share their best business
events ideas.

Under Teo’s tenure from 2020 to 2024, the association achieved
significant key milestones – among which were the launching of the
MACEOS Strategic Roadmap 2022-2030, the rolling out of the SafeBE
certification programme during the Covid-19 pandemic, and the launching

In his acceptance speech, Gandhi shared his goal to expand market opportunities through government and industry associations.
“In assuming the presidency of MACEOS, I am deeply grateful for the
overwhelming support received,” he said. “With Malaysia set to chair
ASEAN in 2025, it is the perfect time for our association to actively
engage in fostering collaboration with fellow ASEAN nations, driving
social, economic and trade cooperation forward with business events.”
