The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) is teaming up with Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) to offer the Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) Learning Program in Malaysia, with the first CEM courses set to be held on 25-29 October 2022 in Kuala Lumpur.

Both partners see the CEM learning programme as a critical step to professional upskilling for business events professionals and assuring international clients that Malaysia is able provide services that meet international standards.

“By bridging the gap in global professional standards for exhibitions and events, we unify and strengthen our industry, which serves to expand our progress as well as our overall economic impact," said IAEE president David DuBois, CMP-F, CAE, FASAE, CTA.

“This agreement between IAEE and MyCEB will extend reciprocal membership benefits to the respective members of both organisations,” said MyCEB CEO Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani Daud.

IAEE's Certification Journey, sponsored by Freeman, embodies a commitment to one’s career development in the exhibitions and events industry. The programme offers a certificate program in workforce development training for those who may be starting their career and takes the participant through to professional designation programs including the CEM and CEM-Advanced Professional designation programs. Also included is the CEM Fellow and CEM Emeritus appointments for industry veterans.

As well, MyCEB will be offering the CEM designation programme as part of its learning journey.
