Chab Agency expands into Thailand events scene

Singapore-based brand experience firm launches Bangkok office to tap into Thailand’s luxury events scene.

The expansion to Thailand is a response to the growing demand for Chab Agency’s expertise in planning, organising and coordinating events at local level, said Alexis Lhoyer, CEO APAC and co-founder.

The vibrant events landscape of Southeast Asia has lured Singapore-based Chab Agency to make its latest leap into Thailand, where the experiential marketing firm planted roots in Bangkok last November.

Thailand marks the seventh market in Chab Agency's expanding footprint, adding to its presence across Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, France and Canada.

“The launch of our new Thailand office marks an important stride for Chab Agency,” said Alexis Lhoyer, CEO APAC and co-founder. “With Thailand emerging as a powerhouse in the luxury market, surpassing even Singapore in size in 2023, this expansion couldn't have come at a more opportune time.”

The expansion to Thailand underscores Bangkok’s status as a mature event design powerhouse, coupled with untapped opportunities in other destinations like Phuket and Chiang Mai, added Lhoyer.

“Bangkok shines as a mature hub for the region, boasting a robust network of great partners and resources across various domains. However, areas like Phuket and Chang Mai, while strong in MICE and having solid logistics and hospitality capabilities, lag behind in construction and experiential marketing, presenting untapped potential for growth as retail, cosmetic and luxury brands look increasingly at these areas for new projects.”

Since its inauguration, the fledgling Thailand office has been instrumental in catering to heightened demand across diverse industries, from incentives travel to corporate ventures and luxury experiential marketing projects, he added.

The five-member-strong Thailand team is poised to double by year’s end. Backed by the global Singapore headquarters, Lhoyer anticipates Thailand operations “will contribute a significant 20% of regional revenue this year alone”.

Established in 2013 by three founders now helming operations in Asia, Europe & Americas, Chab Agency is setting its sights to expand into Malaysia and Japan, while its recent foray into North America has unlocked new growth possibilities for Asia incentive travel.

“Exciting times lie ahead as we continue to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation in the events industry,” Lhoyer stated.
