Visitors to Borneo can now discover the destination in an eco-friendly way, with the launch of the Borneo Green Bike Tour in Kuching, Sarawak.

The immersive experience, launched by Tourism Malaysia, aims to encourage visitors to explore the rich biodiversity and cultural heritage of the region while minimising their environmental impact, using zero carbon emission electric motor bikes.

Those taking part in the experience, produced by Malaysia-based travel agency Smart Leisure & Travels, can take a scenic tour of some of Kuching’s most iconic landmarks, including the historic Brooke Monument, Kai Joo Lane, the Chinese History Museum and the Kuching South City Council.

Other tour highlights include the White Cat Statue, Tua Pek Kong Temple, Carpenter Street and the Borneo Cultures and Sarawak museums. The tour is offered on a self-drive or with a driver basis, with English and Mandarin-speaking guides included with both options. The tour lasts around 3.5 to 4 hours and is designed to accommodate all fitness levels.

By promoting eco-friendly travel, Tourism Malaysia says the tour aligns with Malaysia's ongoing commitment to sustainability and supports the country's broader ecotourism goals.
