The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) are joining forces to enhance support for meetings and incentives. Running from October 2025 to July 2026, the “Thailand Power Up” campaign offers financial and non-financial support to longhaul and shorthaul organisers, with the goal of attracting 65,000 travellers and generating 4.29 billion baht (US$132 million).
“Collaboration with TAT is one key strategy for TCEB in strengthening Thailand’s MICE ecosystem and maximising value,” said TCEB president Supawan Teerarat. “We aim to ensure the success of events in Thailand with measurable ROI and ROX, while shaping a sustainable and globally competitive MICE ecosystem backed by world-class infrastructure and services.”
What’s in it for organisers
To qualify, events must host a minimum of 100 participants from longhaul markets (Europe, Africa, the Americas, Oceania) or 200 from shorthaul markets (Asia), with at least a four-night stay in Thailand. Venues must be legally registered and/or meet the Thailand MICE Venue Standard (TMVS), with requests submitted at least 30 days before the event.
Support includes both financial aid and value-added services, such as souvenirs from local communities, premium lane service at airports, coordination with government agencies, cultural performances, and Thai-style hospitality.
Luxury courtship
Beyond the incentive scheme, TAT and TCEB will co-host inVOYAGE Global 2026 in Bangkok from 17–20 April 2026. The luxury incentive travel marketplace is expected to draw 200-300 senior MICE professionals, mostly from Europe and North America, for networking, one-to-one meetings, and immersive local experiences.
The two agencies will also stage international roadshows in 2026 across markets including China, Taiwan, Korea, Germany, the UK, CIS, and Kazakhstan, connecting buyers with Thai MICE operators.
