Seoul Convention Bureau has launched an upgraded 3D MICE event
platform, Virtual Seoul 2.0, which comes with new venues, and a new
Content Management System to accommodate the hybrid trend.
Seoul Tourism Organization Director, Jihyun Kim, said, “The first
version of Virtual Seoul received much attention locally and globally as
an innovative case of destination marketing while travelling was
strictly restricted.
"Since Virtual Seoul 2.0 was designed to cover most event types of
the MICE industry, it will serve a full function as an event platform
capable of earning more hosting. Hybrid events are not a trend anymore
but another format settling down in the field with ‘living with Covid’
days. As one of the pioneers in this new field, it is the time to be
more active in marketing the platform.”
The four new venues in the upgraded Virtual Seoul 2.0.Planners can now pick from nine virtual venues, where the four newest
ones are Coex, Nodeul Island at Hangang river, Seoul City Hall and
Seoul Tourism Plaza.
There are also more than 20 virtual event functions to host
e-conferences, live discussions, meet-and-greets etcetera through
live-streaming and video-on-demand.
Another new enhancement is the Content Management System (CMS) which
allows event planners to customise their events directly without going
through any IT staff — such as setting to broadcast VODs and branding
functions to post logos, banners, promotion video across the platform.
Guide videos for setting a conference and corporate meeting, virtual
exhibitions, PSA business meetings are uploaded to aid event planners
and a demo page is open as well.
These are on top of existing platform offerings which include 1:1
business meetings, event branding, and virtual exhibition booth
functions.
This latest event platform upgrade is part of Seoul Convention
Bureau's host of digital MICE resources, which also includes a virtual
playground, virtual 360 Virtual Reality tours, and MICE World (virtual
PR booths).
